To be a good teacher, you need some of the gifts of a good actor: you must be able
to hold the attention and interest of your audience; you must be a clear speaker,
with a good, strong, pleasing voice which is fully under your control; and you

Watch a good teacher, and you will see that he does not sit motionless before his
class: he stands the whole time he is teaching; he walks about, using his arms,

time he plays a certain part, even his movements and the ways in which he uses his

A good teacher works in quite a different way. His audience takes an active part

understand something, they say so. The teacher therefore has to suit his act to

actors in class but were unable to take part in a stage play because their brains

In my opinion homework is quite necessary for the pupils. The homework given
by teachers often includes the key knowledge in our textbooks. They can go
over it and then grasp it by doing homework. Besides many of the pupils are
not self-c*****cious. Some of them are even lazy. You cannot expect them to
depend on themselves. They have to be forced to do some homework to help them
study well. Or they may waste their time. Doing homework can also help them to
find their problems. To listen to it is one thing; while to do it is quite

In my opinion homework is unnecessary for the pupils. They can learn by

If they have to do homework, they shall not have much time left to learn some
